Can universities detect purchased papers?

From what I’ve seen, universities can detect purchased papers, but not automatically every time. Plagiarism software catches copied content easily, but custom-written papers are harder. The real risk is inconsistency with your past work.

Based on my observations, schools can detect purchased essays, but there isn't a magical alarm that triggers every single time. Plagiarism detection tools quickly identify copied content, but it's much more difficult to catch custom-written papers. The main clue is when your new essay suddenly doesn't reflect your usual voice. That's why individuals who use services often still modify sections—it's the difference in writing style that gets people in trouble, not the software.
