Impact: Community Leadership Projects
We believe in the power of service to bring people together and create positive change in our communities. An important component of Leadership Atlanta and LEAD programs is community leadership projects. Each year, project teams from the classes work collaboratively on critical initiatives that support and help Metro Atlanta’s non-profit organizations achieve their mission.
Talk to Us
Leadership Atlanta seeks to partner with Atlanta nonprofit organizations as Community Leadership Cohort Project partners. The Community Leadership Projects aim to provide a civic engagement opportunity for class members. The goal of the project is for each group to collectively learn about and address a critical community need while providing value-added support and consultation to a local nonprofit in achieving its mission.
Information on the Class of 2026 Projects will be released in Spring 2025.

Utopian Academy
Utopian Academy for the Arts recently had the honor of collaborating with Leadership Atlanta on a community project to amplify Utopian’s voice to improve brand awareness to expand student enrollment and corporate partners and sponsors. This experience exemplified the true essence of community engagement and provided invaluable lessons and experiences for all involved. As we reflect on this experience, we are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and are committed to fostering similar collaborations that inspire and empower our students and community. We are proud of what we have achieved together and eager to build on this foundation in the years to come.

Executive Director
ACLU of Georgia
The ACLU of Georgia is deeply grateful for the evaluation and recommendations made regarding our volunteer engagement program. As volunteer leaders, the Leadership Atlanta Project Team brought their personal experiences, as well as technical expertise to design a volunteer management strategy that will allow us to grow and leverage volunteer engagement for maximum impact. The Project Team and Facilitators were a joy to work with and provided practical tools- even the beginning of volunteer manual. The Leadership Atlanta team’s recommendations are now part of our action plan for organizational effectiveness.

The Solomon's Temple Foundation
Solomon’s Temple board of directors, and staff are honored to have had the opportunity for our Organization to work collaboratively with the LEAD Atlanta 2024 Cohort. We are truly appreciative of how passionate and conscientious the group was about the project of assessing the Safety/Security Protocols for our agency.
There observational report and presentation was phenomenal and is a great help to our team as we continue to endeavor to enhance and update our Security structures.
We thank you all for the amazing commitment, engagement and efforts made towards the planning and implementation of this project.
