Did Your First Affiliate Marketing Plan Actually Work?
When people share their success stories, it often sounds like they knew exactly what they were doing from day one. In reality, I imagine most beginners change direction several times before finding an approach that works. Was your original plan successful, or did you end up abandoning it completely? I'm curious to know what made the biggest difference and what advice you'd give to someone who's just getting started.

My first idea didn't actually fail—it just turned out to be something I wasn't interested in sticking with. After a few weeks I realized I was writing about topics I chose for their commission rates rather than because I knew anything about them, and that made creating content feel like a chore. Later I found an article discussing how to do affiliate marketing with no money, which convinced me to focus on building useful content before worrying about earnings. Looking back, changing direction early was probably the best decision I made, because once I picked a niche I genuinely enjoyed, staying consistent became much easier and the results slowly followed.
