About the event

Join us for a conversation on Arts & Health with Carlton Mackey and Chris Appleton at the High Museum of Art!

We have long known that arts participation has impacted individual and community health. With the advancement of research and the growing mental health crisis, new opportunities are emerging for the arts & culture field to more directly connect its work to health and well-being.

Join your fellow LEAD Atlanta alumni for a discussion on increasing access to the arts for health & well-being with Carlton Mackey LEAD ‘11 and Chris Appleton LEAD ‘13/LA ‘19. Carlton serves in a newly created role at the High Museum of Art as the Assistant Director of Education, Community Dialogue and Engagement. Chris is the Founder and CEO of Art Pharmacy, a tech-enabled healthcare company that works with managed care plans, health systems, and community partners to address the mental health crisis through social prescribing.
