Leadership Atlanta will present its first Speaker Series in 2011-12, attracting premier national and regional voices to speak on some of the most significant topics of our day, ranging from education to criminal justice. Speakers include CNN Correspondent, Soledad O’Brien (Sept. 8), Atlanta Falcons Owner, Arthur Blank (Feb. 15), and U.S. District Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia, Sally Yates (May 17).

This popular series will continue for its third year, featuring four sessions that will be open to all Alumni Members, with various classes serving as hosts for each event. The venues include Renaissance Marriott (October 4), St. Regis Atlanta (January 10), Mansion (March 6) and Ray’s On the River (May 1). Come to unwind, reconnect, and even make new connections with your fellow Alumni Members.

Our biggest event of the year returns in December after an outstanding party at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center in 2010. For the first time ever, this year’s event will feature a special performance and an opportunity to ‘give back’ through a toy drive.

Breakfast Briefings: Conversations on Community Issues

In the coming Alumni Membership year, we will continue morning dialogue sessions around some of the most important issues facing metro Atlanta. The sessions will take place around the following topical areas: Child Exploitation & Sex Trafficking (September 22), The Atlanta Public Schools (November 17), The Transportation Bill of 2012 (January 17), The National Center for Civil & Human Rights (April 12).
Leaders and Latitudes: 2012 Trip to Brussels, Paris, and Amsterdam

Due to rising fuel cost and exorbitant hotel fees, we have decided to postpone this trip for later date.
